Dan,
Its funny you bring up kittys killing the native fauna. I was doing a snake removal in Simi Valley So. Cal. and spotted what I thought was a ground squrral running across the road. Playing the image back in my head I thought. That did'nt look or move like a ground squrral. I walked over to the bush that the small animal ran into, and all of a sudden, a farret ran out at me. It stopped two feet infront of me. Looked at me, and then ran the opposite direction into another bush. I told the home owner that their was a farret in his bushes, and he told me. Ya, they are all over up here. Apparently, farrets which are illegal here, are wild in Simi Valley.
Cute, but what a nightmare. Hopefully the coyotes and the hawks can finish them off. However, I have a feeling that wont happen. Farrents are some destructive little critters.
