Hey Everyone, I'm a regular on Kingsnake, but this is the first time I've visited the HL forum. I've always wanted a HL since I first saw them in the reptile books I checked out in elementary school. I was reading through some of the posts here and a lot of them seem to be about "searching for" or "finding HL's". Is it legal to take them from the wild? I know that where I live (Alabama), it's ok to take some species, but I don't know if HL's are protected in any way. The reason I ask is that my wife and I are considering a move to Arizona and the prospect of finally owning a HL or better yet, having them scurrying about my yard, would be even more incentive to pack my bags and head west. :D
