I am buiding my own viv out of 1/4" acrylic. It is 36"Lx47"Hx20"D. I have cut and welded the bottom sides and back. Top is easy but for the front I want to have 10" fixed on the bottom and 10" fixed on the top and I need to figure out what is best for the front opening door. If I make I make it swing out I think it will be too big and I am not sure how to make it securly close. If I split it and have it open like a Exo terra design I think it will be better but I am still worried about how secure a piece of plexi that big will be. The other type of door I was thinking of is sliding doors on a track. Would crylic be ok for this or should I use glass? Anyone have experience with a front opening viv this big that favors a design?
Thanks in advance,
Nick
I have about $300 worth of plants just waiting to get planted. Oh ya, I plan on putting Bumble Bee darts in this.
