YOU MUST GET THAT RES OUT OF THE BATHTUB AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!! I once did this-put my turts in the bathtub-as a kid and one got poisoned! Too many chemicals in there, including but not limited to Draino and Comet.

About the egg, it might be dead all ready, but see if you can't but make a nesting site for your res anyway "AND DEFINITELY WITH LAND."

Don't mean to sound snippy though. Just telling you some advice I learned from experience.

BTW: How long did it take your res to lay eggs from the day of conception? Do you know?
