I know absolutely nothing about this particular type of snake, but I have had some trouble feeders, and here are some things to try:



1) wash food off with warm water, and completely dry...you would think a stronger scent would entice more, but my hogg island boa won't touch anything that has not been washed first.



2) take a small plastic bowl and lid (with air holes) and place snake and food in it, and keep them together all night. I think, from experience, the key is to put the bowl back in the cage. I have gotten a couple to eat this way that wouldn't any other way! I think placing the bowl back in the cage allows the snake to think it is at home in it's cage, a place that it feels, or should feel, secure and safe but at the same time, is forced to stay close to food. Some snakes are simply very shy feeders, and it sounds like your species is very secretive anyways.



3) I don't know how often you are trying to feed, but if you are disturbing the snake several times a week, I would stop completely for at least two weeks. Put the snake in a area will it will not be disturbed by people or pets walking around (like a spare bedroom) and leave it completely alone. I have all but two of mine in a second bedroom, where they only get disturbed when I go in to check on them.



I don't know how much experience you have with snakes, so I apologize if I am telling you things that you already know.
