Cross-species breeding?

I have a small female Bahamian anole (anolis sagrei), and a slightly larger male green anole (Anolis carolinensis). They have been sharing a viv for about six months peacefully, but recently, the male seems to be attempting to mate with the female.

Now, the female seems to be swelling a bit below the ribcage. Is it possible for these two species to interbreed successfully?
