Wow, that's surprising, but then again, not. It's surprising because I live in Florida and that's where I'd bought my now 8" res at a local petshop. But bet you I go back-I'm overseas now-and find res's are still around, or being sold.

Florida has a lot of problems with invasive species. Good they're putting their foot down. But it's not surprising, to an extent, since baby sliders were supposed to've been banned for sale 15 years ago, and I bought mine just two years ago.
