Az law states that you CAN export legally collected reptiles out of state....as long as you are within bag limits and the animals were collected legally (i.e. not in a protected area), then it is legal to export them.

However, the state of Az considers all of it's native reptiles to be state property. Even if you collected a tiger rattlesnake and left the state with it, that snake would still be state property. Therefore, any animals produced from the animal that was collected would also be state property...This is how Az views it's wildlife, and how it justifies the prohibition on commerce regarding them.
