D. pumilio--really best in mated pairs. Both sexes are territorial. These aren't very good "beginner frogs" in general, so I'd go with something else first. D. azureus--2 males would probably get along just fine, or some people even keep a trio--2 males, but only 1 female. You need a tank with a large "footprint," about 10 gallons per frog, at least. Leucomelas--you can just order two unsexed juveniles, and whatever they turn out to be, they'll get along. Others you don't have to worry about sexing and territory much are D. galactonotus and D. auratus. I keep D. imitators in mixed sex groups, as well as keeping both males and females together with no problem. ----- Patty Pahsimeroi, Idaho
D. auratus blue, auratus Ancon Hill, galactonotus orange, galactonotus yellow, fantasticus, reticulatus, imitator, castaneoticus, azureus, pumilio Bastimentos. P. lugubris, vittatus, terribilis mint green, terribilis orange.
