My husband brought a female Southern Alligator lizard home in mid May. We kept her as a pet. She looked to be gravid at the time he brought her home and has been growing ever since. We do not have a male, so is it possible that the egg she laid last night will be fertile? I have found that they breed in the spring, but do they normally take this long to lay?
