You say that you are not into anything venomous, but you want venomoids. This is faulty logic. A venomoid may be "safer" for you, but things can go wrong.

What if the snake escapes it's cage? A lose viper is a lose viper to anyone else. This can ruin an already struggling hobby. This area of keeping really doesn't need any more blows, which I'm sure will come anyway, sooner or later.

If you get bit by a venomoid viper, you have a chance of getting an infection. I know someone who was bit by a copperhead. He got a bone infection from the bite. The venom itself probably didn't cause the infection, but the fangs instead.

If you're "just a teenager", it's likely that you live at home. Your parents could lose their home owners insurance if anyone found out what you kept. I'm sure they wouldn't be too happy with you.

A lot of these issues can be avoided if you get training. If you're too young to find someone to shadow, then you're too young to get a viper. I'm not writing this to say that you're stupid or crazy. Everyone here sympathizes with your strong interest to dive into the hobby. There's a safe way of going about it and we want to see you follow the right track.

Also, how do you automatically know that no one will train you? It sounds kind of like an excuse not to try.
