thats nothing to worry about, in fact, it's a good thing. he is basking and he is hot and trying to cool off. usually sick lizards don't exibit this behavoir. if he's from petco i would def. suggest getting a fecal done, usually their animals arn't all that healthy, but if he is young there is a chance you could correct whatever is wrong with him. good luck!
