Just goes to show you, the animals don't read the guide books. Im thinking someones gotta do some further DNA work, and show that paintjobs alone do not warrant subspecific action...kind of like Gilas...
BTW, Please give some details on your observation; time of day, temperature, was it out on the crawl, under AC, more more more...
