Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh)(ANI): Believe it or not, a four-and-half-year old in Uttar Pradesh's Mordabad District has found a friend in a seven foot Cobra!
Amir, son of a farmer in Sambhal, spotted the snake while accompanying his father to the fields last week. Since then the reptile has become his pal and playmate.
The little boy loves spending maximum time with this new friend whom he has kept at his home. He is unmindful of fear of snake and likes to play with it.
Mohammad Sharief, Amir's uncle, said: 'This snake lives with my nephew all the time and even sleeps with him. Initially, we were afraid and kept a watch. But now everything is normal . The snake eats whatever the boy provides. This snake drinks even tea.'
Dr.Kamal Saxena, Reader of Zoology with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) views such relationships just another instance of man-reptile relationship.
He said: 'Snake has a good sensibility. We all have heard about the tales of friendship of man and snake in our childhood. Snakes can smell and feel.'
