I found my red eared slider in my back yard in the hot summer in Goodyear Arizona, 30 miles west of Phoenix.

I got a tank and kept her. Named her Strawberry and about 1.5 years later we moved into a new house. Bigger. I then got Strawberry a bigger tank. She now lives in an 80 gallon paradise. Her shell is appx. 8 inches long and 5 to 6 inches wide.

She has always been in a cage for the last 3 years.

Last night I found a shattered egg in the bottom of the tank.

How could this be?
