Over time, you may want to replace some of the larger plants with more miniature species, as they will grow enthusiastically and may become overwhelming, but this can always be done gradually along the way. Some of my very first tanks look nothing like they did 9, nearly 10 years ago, but the changes have been made without having to do a major take-down.
