Get a small external pond pump like the "Tiny Might" and hook it up to a pressurized canister filled with the media of your choice. I am planning on using a similar setup for the 1000 gallon outdoor turtle pond I am making. I don't want any filter or pump submersed in the pond 'cause it just looks ugly and takes up space.
