It was a piece that was inspired by the bold colors of Andy Warhol so i was going for abstract modern. Another reason for going with red is that red is the complementary color to blue and blue is the blue tongue skinks highlight which i wanted to make jump out. Cool colors are not necessarily limited to the background as painter Jonathan Buttall illustrated with his Blue Boy painting purposely disproving that warm colors must always be in the foreground and cools in the back.
