I have a new baby WD and I was wondering on a substrate. I have read just about everything I could find on this topic. Right now I have him on some sort of reptile bark but I think the peices are too small and I am afraid of him ingesting them. The bark also does not help the humidity at all. I have heard that using plain dirt and planting a few plants will help the humidity and also be good for the lizard but everything I have looked at has additives, i.e. fertilizers or perlite or something similar. I found peat moss that had no additives but I didn't know if that would do the same and if the plants would grow well in the peat moss. It said peat moss but it looked just like dirt, oh well. If anyone could help me it would be great, thank you.
