Personally, I recommend putting babies up to a year old on repticarpet. You can wet it down, and it helps with the humidity. That won't help with the live plants tho, lol. Could the plants be in pots?? I have a ficus in each of my vivs and I just left them in the pot. I did have to sift thru the soil to remove the perlite bits, although my adults don't seem to mess with it. They just tear up the leaves, lol.
