okay, there are some care problems here, but it isn't really necessary to jump down the guy's throat about them when he's simply asking for help with a sick animal.

i realize that this post is a couple of weeks old, and i'm not sure how helpful my answer will be at any rate, but here goes:



if i'm not mistaken, ivermictin is an antibiotic. not sure if it is safe for reptile use or not. but ingestion isn't as lethal as injection in any case.

if he defecated the day after ingesting it, odds are that the 'poison mice' were not defecated out...probably was his previous meal.

what i would do--or would have done, as it is too late for this-- would be to induce vomiting to bring the mice back up. failing that, consult a veteranarian. even if they won't see him in the office, they may have some advice.

in the future, if you're going to treat mice as such, treat them and then wait a week prior to feeding them. this will let the medicine do it's job and basically get out of their system. and yeah, don't leave live prey unsupervised.
