Since she dropped her clutch of 9 on May 25th, this girl has been pounding food pretty well up until the other day. Both male and female eat voraciously during the months of April through July, typically coiling around their food items as if it were live. But it's that time o' the year once again when the food intake decreases and these guys won't be eating again until next spring.

***I would also like to note that through the well-received advice of Paul Lynum my agalma are intergrades of Sierra Juarez and San Pedro Martir lines dating back well over a decade ago. Unfortunately, my historical data completely stops at the last person who had this line, who is Marvin Fowlkes. If anyone reading this knows any additional information on this, it would be tremendously appreciated. My prior posts indicated that I carried the Martir line, however I trusted the information I received when purchasing these animals which has turned into misinformation. It is still a mystery as to the unusual reduction in red/orange color in the female, which is drastic. So I still simply do not know what to attribute this to: Martir influence via intergrade or hypo-erythrism? Again, time and selective breeding will help decipher this.
