Shell color

I also wanted to ask about Shelby's shell color. It's dull and not much of the yellow has come out at all.

I got her from Petco and they told me that they were required to keep a perticular cover on top of their tank and that kept out most of the uv rays that they need to have bright beautiful shells. They told me that once I got her home and under the uv light, that her color would come out, it hasn't and I've had her for a few months.

Can anyone please tell me why that might be?
