If they are freaking out I'd just try to feed inside the tank for now.

Your bedding should not be something that they could get impacted with, they tend to lunge at prey and scoop up stuff with it. Cocoa bedding is the best, Eco Earth, Bed a Beast etc.

I'd go with the suggestion before of creating a schedule, but keep them calm now. Try to give them lots of places to hide, lots of plants, etc. I'd leave maybe 1/2 dozen crickets in overnight and leave like an apple slice for them to eat (so they don't bite the frogs) and then see how many are left in the morning.

Many whites are wildcaught and are totally stressed when they get shipped to the stores and then again when they go to homes.
