Just make sure the sod is free from pesticides and I switched to organic soil with all my new plants/grass.

There are quite a few websites that sell tortoise grazing seed so it has a mixture of timothy, bermuda, kentucky, etc. You can buy it from turtlecafe.com, carolinas pet supply, and a few more places have it. Some mixtures have edible weeds and flower seeds as well. Mine love Hibiscus plants so I have quite a few of those planted and I also just planted a Fruitless Mulberry Tree as well. Since they are grazing machines I supplement with orchard/timothy hay since I have to give my grass time to grow back...I recently just started grass in flat planters for my other tortoise.
