Thanks! The salamander was photographed and released in it's known habitat. I don't think one could (or should) keep a captive specimen due to the fact that they're listed as an endangered species.

Below is another pic showing 3 Shenandoah salamanders, a P. cinereus in the top middle and what is thought to be a P. Shenandoah x P. cinereus hybrid on the bottom. The hybrid has features consistent with both species but the DNA is still out.
