Posted by: jerzeegirl at Thu Aug 23 13:09:00 2007 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by jerzeegirl ] ive always had an algae problem in my tank, the tank is in a room with skylights and i cannot move the tank because of placement of furniture,tv, cable wires etc. Someone told me to put an algae eater fish in there, i did, but it died, my turts didnt kill it either. Im aware that algae chemicals that you would use for a fish tank cannot be used for turtles. Can anyone suggest something to stop the algae? I have to scrape the walls every week, basking dock is full of algae. The turts dont seem to have a prob with it, i just cant stand looking at it. Would snails work?
