I free handle the fwc's all the time and have yet to have a problem. Mangroves I don't typically free handle as they tend to be snappy. This is my experience. With that said if your mainly going to be looking at it and not holding it go with what you like more. Personally I think a mangrove would make 10X better as a showcase animal! When I find some more yellow fwc's I'll be purchasing some new snakes! I sold the last pair I had which I regret but I've begun the look for more. My problems is that the male of the pair mine came from died. The adult proven female is in the classifieds. She's actually a sweet heart and I've free handled her plenty. Anyways...now to continue my search.
