((Is hypomelanism a simple recessive gene in L.G.california? And are there, more than one form of hypomelanism?
I assume that a blizzard california is a double trait consisting of albino and melanistic right? is a melanistic califonia the same as an anerythristic california? And is there any natural accruing melanistic phases? ))

Since no one answered your questions I'll try. Yes, hypo is. Yes, more than one hypo. From what I remember, Blizzard is hypermelanism X albino. Melanistic and Anery are different. Yes, there are natural melanistic and hypermelanistic kings in the wild. Melanistic are solid brown or black and hypermelanistic are like normal kings with darker pigment mixed in with the light pigment. The Davis & Mendota black bellies are hypermelanistic and this one from L.A. County is hypermelanistic.
