I was told not to add aquarium salt as it can kill them. My local pet store had also told me that it was a "bubble" in the intestines that they had trouble getting out and to either leave them alone or raise the heat a bit. I left them alone and one had died while the other pulled through.

Just my experiences with it. I hope he gets better!
