Maryland State Fairgrounds 4-H Hall, Timonium, MD
Friday, September 14, 2007 (Friday) 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. MARS Reptile Rescue Benefit & Icebreaker with book signing by special guest Al Roach, author of "The Spotted Turtle: North America's Best"
Saturday and Sunday 10:00am - 5:00pm MARS Show/Seminars: September 15-16, 2007 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds 4-H Hall, Timonium, MD Saturday night turtle-related talks presented by MATTS (Mid-Atlantic Turtle & Tortoise Society) 7 p.m. at the Days Hotel & Conference Center
This is a captive-bred only show. As a result, and because of MD regulations prohibiting the sale of turtles under 4", it's actually pretty "turtle lite", not many turtles or tortoises for sale.
Admission goes to purchase rain forest in Costa Rica - so even if you don't buy anything, you're helping preserve critical habitat just by going to rub elbows with your on-line friends face to face!
Two-day adult pass: $13 Saturday or Sunday daily pass: $9.
MARS is presented by the MARS Preservation fund, Inc. - a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
Directions: Take I-83, Exit 16-A, and head straight on Timonium Road, crossing the light rail tracks. Turn left at the third light onto York Road. The Fairgrounds is on the left. Pass the race track/grandstand and enter at the second main entrance (you’ll see the large brown Maryland State Fairgrounds sign). The 4-H Hall is the first building on your right after you enter the gate.
