Definite Cuora amboinensis - not sure of the subspecies there are four, dependant mostly on physical description but that comes from the locality of the turtle. Being an adult, known from the size, it is likely a wild caught animal since captive breeding of these animals did not become common place until the last few years. It is an aquatic turtle although it is a box turtle and natural lives in rice pads. So it can deal with any thing from 6 inches of water to where I keep mine in a 55 gallon tank filled almost to the top. Make sure to provide a good basking spot and as long as it has acclimated to captive life it should have no problem taking pellets along with live food and fresh veggies and fruit. There is a good website for information on them at the site www.chelonia.org. Good Luck
