fogging system

Hi-
I just bought a fogging system for my pacman- mostly case I was worried about heat drying out my apartment- I was thinking of using sphagnum or terrarium moss over gravel- is this a good idea and if so what kind of gravel will go in tandem with the under tank heater- thanks,
