Yeah, I have several ideas on what triggers them and am going to try several different methods with different groups. I think it depends where the salamanders are from too. I'm sure brumation is important, along with rain... I'm kind of thinking they need a "dry spell" of sorts too... Even if they never breed, it's a fun project. Best of luck to us both!
