I haven't been successful in locating any information online or in a book on taking care of this little fellow. Since this species has done so well in Florida, I'm assuming he requires humidity and heat, but I don't know for sure. He is eating very well and poops all over his cage (how I usually determine if my herp's healthy) so I'm assuming that my current setup works well for him. He's in a small critter keeper at the moment, so I didn't try to put a UTH under it or put a heatlamp over it. I have his cage sitting close to my beardie's tank, so he shares the basking lamp a little bit. I put a small divider between the two cages, since my beardie was licking his lips and staring at the gecko.

I'm only figuring on keeping the gecko long enough for him to be big enough to head out on his own in my backyard. Thus, I have not bought a large tank for him or any permanent supplies.

This is his setup:

Critter Keeper
Moss substrate
misted every day
"borrowed" light from basking lamp
pinhead crickets

If I'm missing something, please let me know. If he's more like a leopard gecko and prefers dry climates, I'd sure like to know.
