I'm building a vivarium out of a 10 gallon, stood on end, for a green tree frog or two. I won't be putting anything in it for a while, as I've used great stuff, silicone, and grout in the tank, and these all need to cure before introducing anything alive.

But, here's my question-

Since it's a 10 stood up on end, the open top is now the front. Along the bottom, there's going to be a 5" piece of glass siliconed in place, so that the tank will hold a couple inches of water in the "pond" in the corner.

Above the 5" piece will be a hinged piece of glass, and above the glass will be a section of screen, for ventilation. How much ventilation will I need in a cage like this? There's no flowing water in it, but there is going to be a small (3x3x2"deep at the most) pool in one corner, so that means there will be probably 2" of water in the entire tank. I'm not worried about there not being enough humidity because of that, and because I live in a REALLY humid area (standing water tends to not evaporate), right down by a river, so humidity is already high.

thanks,
Ronnie Nocera
