I just got a 75 gallon tank and I can't decide what to get.

I think either a bearded dragon or a blacklined plated lizard would be a lot of fun. I've never had either species, but I've watched bearded dragons for people, and we had a ton of them at a few pet stores I've worked for. I almost bought a G. validus when we got a pair in at work once, but I couldn't find a place for a cage big enough for it.

Has anyone here had both species? Can you think of any big pros or cons I may not have thought of?

I know both species need UV lighting and they're omnivores, and that's obviously no big deal. Does it really come down to aesthetics? Am I missing something?

Thanks!
