So i have an opportunity to get a baby green. There are a few to select from some larger then others. I am thinking about picking up a male due to the smaller size being easier to accommodate and feed, i wouldn't generally go for such a large boid (i am a red tail guy) but they are so damn cute and i love the look of them. So can i get some info on what to expect as far as how quick the males grow? When they stop growing and how large they get.

I hear everything from 8-12' for males, i know i read kelly's post about a 12' male being the second largest kelly has seen. What is an adverage adult length/weight for a male green, and how quick do they get there

at 1 year? 2 years? 3 years?

Also wondering about the "creepy slow bite" as i have heard it explained as, im told that anacondas have a weird thing they do that involves them slowly and calmly just biting you, like kinda reaching over and going YUM. As opposed to the quick striking that most snakes do.

I know anacondas get a bad rap but i assume that an anaconda that is handled a lot since it is a baby is going to be a generally calm snake, just like any other snake.

Oh, and the snakes in question are imported from South America, i believe they are captive hatched, but not captive born.

Thanks in advance
