We just had two red ear slider dumped on us. We rescue box turtles so these guys are have different requirements. One is 7" and the other is 5" long. They have been living is a 10 gal (jail) for almost 10 years. The jailers just decided to get rid of them so we took them. First is a Aquarium 65 gallon 48" x 18" x 17" tall a good size to move them to? They will now have uva/uvb lighting and a different diet and one needs addressing of minor shell rot. Question 2 Should they be separated until the shell rot is cured?and 3 are the little colored rocks on the bottom ok or should I get rid of them.
Thanks Peeps
