The snake will not get fat off of anoles... However, if you manage to get it eating pinky mice, it will become fat. A friend of mine who used to frequent these forums had a southern ringneck that would eat several pinkies every feeding.

And some ringnecks will use contriction.
I've seen southerns do it, northerns do it, and regals do it, towards prey such as lizards, other snakes, and salamanders. It is not used how kingsnakes used it (suffocation)... It is merely used to hold prey down while venomous properties in the saliva kill the prey.
