Posted by: KoreaAF_Guy at Sun Oct 21 18:17:52 2007 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by KoreaAF_Guy ] hello, i was just wondering if stunted growth is permanent, while i was stationed in korea i "adopted" 2 gold thread turtles who were not so very well takin care of. the turtles were at least 3 years old, and only about the size of a credit card, due to there 5 gallon enclosure, with no filter. i cant really blame the people who had em cause they were givin to them, and our dorm rooms were tiny, and we werent aloud to have large fish tanks, they tried the best they could. so, i kinda smuggled em back with me to the states, illegal yes, but i couldnt overcome my moral beliefs. i now have them in a 40 gallon wide, all spruced up and nice. just wondering if they will forever be the size of a credit card, or if they might grow some now that they have room to stretch out. i must say though, these guys are little troopers, theyve been through a lot.
