I think that a lot of them have gone down in price since there are more breeders and they've become more abundant. I think the leucomelas may price at around $35.00, and some of the auratus are comparatively inexpensive. Even the once pricey azureus are becoming affordable, as are a lot of the tinctorius morphs. You can check out prices on the classifieds here, or on saurian.net, blackjungle.com. You can also do a google search for dart frog breeders and come up with many others. Shipping and handling costs are another thing to consider. Responsible breeders go to great lengths in packing to insure live overnight delivery, so this can add up.

If your lucky enough to be able to attend a dart frog show, you can sometimes pick up some bargains from the breeders who attend these.

If you find some in a pet shop, be sure to ask for a history of the source, and make sure they are keeping them properly. Not all pet store personnel know their requirements, and they may be stressed or even from wild caught batches, which you want to avoid unless you have a lot of experience keeping and treating them for possible parasites, etc. I think Mantella prices are similar, depending upon supply and demand.
