I just discovered this thread, I too purchased 10 of these Albino Woodhouse Toads in June of 2007 and was really excited to get them, they looked great upon arrival and were larger than I expected. I kept them on paper towels with a shallow water bowl and cork pieces for hiding. The only problem I had was one was "flipping" but seemed ok most of the time. Once they got larger I moved them to a tank with coir and moss substrate and thats when they started to go downhill. They stopped eating and just stayed buried. After a few weeks I moved them back to paper towels but it was too late, they never ate right and just died one by one. The last one bloated up and finally died in March after lingering for a while.

I recently spoke with the breeder and he said they did best with a dry substrate, a basking light and UV. I never thought of toads requiring a basking bulb and probably kept mine too moist and cool especially after moving them to the moss substrate.

It was an expensive dissapointment but hopefully once the husbandry is worked out I will try some again.
