Luring Lost Skink?

Recently my 7 inch skink (nose to tail) had some dead skin stuck to its toes, so I took it out to peel the skin off. I did this in the bathroom because I thought that if it escaped it would be in a sealed room and would be easy to recapture. Sure enough it wriggled and I had to release in order not to risk it dropping its tail. I cornered the skink under one of the cabinets, but all of a sudden it disappeared and when I looked under the cabinets I realized that it had managed to crawl into a crack. We removed a section of the wooden floor lining to better view the hole, but the skink seems to have traveled back further into the wall.

I have turned off the lights and blocked the crack under the door in the bathroom. I placed a flimsy plastic container near the hole with crickets in it and a glowstick to possibly lure the skink to the light. Has anything like this happened to anybody else and is there anything else I can do to lure the skink out?
