I have heard that these guys can be converted to other foods but theya are much more difficult to convert to other foods than almost any other lizard eating animals. I provide a few sticks for climbing but these guys are similar in their level of clumsiness to sheltopusiks. The main thing with these guys is to give them a good burrowing substrate such as cocofiber or my substrate of choice leaf litter. Finally, I do not know of anyone breeding them, but I'm sure it could be done.
