I believe there is a problem. I have had four of them from two different sources. The first two grew to almost 1.5 inches before the first one seemed to spontaneously begin the final spiral to death. Then one in the second pair bloated and died, eyes pale instead of red, just days prior to death. Its cagemate is bloated up like a grape as I write, and my final 1.5 incher is listless and has the opaque eye thing going on. I have successfully kept and bred herps and I have yet to have a project this challenging. I have tried every substrate, temperature, and vivaium possible. They simply reach a point where they judy fail to thrive. The sad and exasperating thing is that whatever is keeping the toads from thrivinng kicks in after the toadlet stage. They seem to be well-started, but then....
