Hello all,
I have heard of a number of cases of people developing serious symptoms from the venom of various rear-fanged snakes if allowed to chew on the area for too long. My question is, what is the proper procedure (if there is one) for removing a chewing rear-fanged snake (or any snake with a persistent grip, at that) from, say, one's arm? Leg? Head? Is it difficult to get a snake to stop chewing on you, or to get it to let go? Do you just try to pry the snake's jaws open, or what? I apologize for my ignorance, I've never personally been bitten by a snake, nor have I witnessed anyone having to remove a large snake from their body. Having said that, I'm sure there are some veterans out there who probably have some good stories about trying to remove a gigantic snake from their arm/leg, etc.

Over and out,
E-Max
