Growth Rate, Changing colors?

What is the growth rate of Alligator lizards?
I got my two about two months ago and there doesn't seem to be too much progress in their growth. They were 1-2 inches when I got them, and now they are no larger than 3 inches.

As they grow, how dramatically do their colors change?

What helps them grow faster?
