He seemed to be doing ok when I took him out of the box except that he has a runny nose with a clear mucus coming out. Since I have only had him for only a week, he has eaten VERY LITTLE, he hasn't pooped, and seems to only sleep all the time. He is currently housed in a very large plastic container, about 40 gallons (I know, I know; its only temporary so relax), that has a hot side (90 degrees under the spot light) and a cool side (75 degrees). He has a water dish that he won't drown in and has a UVB light as well. I feed T-rex tortoise dry formula, moistened (high fiber, low protein food according to the label), and mixed with vit D and calcium supplement, and a mixture of romaine, mustard greens, and green onions. I even throw in some grass and weeds from outside. My tortoise doesnt seem to eat though and only sleeps all day. I have tried soaking in warm water and he still doesn't poop. It is only about 60 days old or so and his shell is still soft. Is any of this normal???? [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
