Posted by: Katrina at Sat Aug 30 13:05:52 2003 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Katrina ] Since almost all T. natans for sale are wild-caught, I wouldn't recommend buying them, or encouraging their importation by asking for them. I own four, and I originally bought them because I thought it was a fluke that the pet store owner had gotten them, and figured he'd never be able to get them again, so my purchase wouldn't encourage him getting more. Boy, was I wrong. It was later learned that he was a direct importer of fish and reptiles, and he has since had a few shipments of caecilians in his store, making me wonder about the how legal his operation is.
